Sarah’s Gatehouse, also known as the Old Barn, was renovated in 1991. Before then, it had served as a true barn until around 1966. The upper bedroom was originally a hayloft, and bales of hay were pushed out the window and onto the front lawn. It still has a functioning barn door.
The spacious wooden deck on the back of the Gatehouse is perfect
for listening to the birds’ songs while enjoying a relaxing morning
cup of coffee.
Sarah’s Gatehouse comfortably sleeps up to 8 adults. There is one bedroom on the main level with a queen-size bed. Upstairs is a second bedroom with a queen-size bed and a half bath. The main floor has two queen-size sofa beds and a full bath. The Gatehouse has a fully equipped kitchen, modern bath, a stereo CD player, and air conditioning units. It’s been lovingly restored and is furnished with antiques.
